Prediction League Results/Tables Week 3

Very close between predictors this week. Top spot was shared by 3 posters - Derby, Sanjay and Beefy, all on 18 points. Sanjay was the pick of them predicting the correct result at least on 6 of the 10 games but failing on his Bonus Ball. Derby got a spot on Bonus Ball which helped offset his 5 incorrect predictions. Beefy was slightly behind in correct results but did pick up points from all three of his balls!!

Very close behind came Lord Snooty on 17 points, he was let down by his BB, and then we have Zinman on 16, another one with points from each ball, yes Zin did indeed play his Gamball today and got a nice 4 points from it. Amelia and BBB both scored 14 points with identical CS, CR and points from the BB and Gamball. Worldclass was 8th on 13 points, closely followed by DD and Matt. DD would have done much better had he not back Wednesday on the Gamball - fool!!!!! Bringing up the rear was yours truly, SCO, on 10 points, I missed the BB and due to my lack of faith in Wednesday getting anything today but not being prepared to put them down to lose, I did a “Zinman” and didn’t play the Gamball on a losing cause which saved me losing 3 points!!!

So all in all a decent scoring week with everyone being in double figures and only 8 points between the top and the bottom predictors.

Cheers
SCO

After a very consistent week in the Premiership, which saw 8 players post their best score of the season so far, where everyone hit double figure and accumulated 162 points between them, the top two remain unaltered as Matt did have his lead clipped by 4 points to remain top by 6 points from Zinman who now has sole possession of 2nd spot, a position he seems to have made his own over the last two seasons.

Worldclass loses his share of 2nd place to sit a further place down in 3rd, where he now has Beefy right behind him and breathing down his neck  Sick  Sick  Sick  Sick  Sick  Sick  Sick  (rather him than me), just a solitary point away in 4th place.

Derby also climbs a place up into 5th after a decent week at the expense of last years champion DD who drops a couple of places into 6th.

Sanjay is another who is upwardly mobile this week as he rises 2 places to 7th and out of the relegation play off place, while BBB drops a spot to 8th despite a decent week.

Snooty clambers out of one of the relegation places to the relative safety of 9th, but with the changes made this year, would still be in danger of the drop through the play off if he’s still there in 30 odd weeks from now.

St Charles now sits in 10th possibly thanks to his beloved Owls being involved in the Gamball game, while Amelia although bottom for now has inched ever so slightly nearer to those above her.

Bomber

A Beefy sized spread of scores this week. Three maximums from the gamball and not surprisingly the 3 lucky players lead the table this week. Top of the pile and showing a degree of consistency that was missing last year is Bomber with 20 points and a full set of successful balls. 2nd place, by virtue of getting more correct scores, is our early pace setter, Themaclad - only 4 results right but it helps when 3 of them are maximums. Quantum comes in 3rd despite getting only 3 results right. Fortunately for him his two correct scores just happened to be the gamball and the bonus - just shows what you can do with good ball play (I'm sure Beefy would call it luck but I'm far more generous). Also on 17 points, but just missing out on a podium place is Baggieone.

4eva sits alone in mid-table with a respectable 13 points, failing to challenge this week's leaders due to losing points from his bonus. Single figure scores for the rest. Turkeydinner was doing well until he trusted Wednesday with his gamball and was joined on 9 points by Spiteitematt. After a fine performance last week, Stairs returned to last season's form but at least beat Twerton who appears to be suffering a hangover from his relegation.

Joker is so confident of promotion this year that he's decided to make a competition of it by having 2 weeks off but will hopefully return to the fold next week.

Oh, in case anyone missed it, the mighty Albion won 7 -1.

Zin

A far less productive week for points scoring in the Championship didn’t stop some movers in both directions in the table.

Themaclad maintained his position at the summit albeit by a reduced margin of 2 points from Bomber who claimed sole possession of 2nd after sharing that spot last week.

Back in 3rd Turkeydinner lost out by 11 points this week to sit that many points away from the top 2 at this early stage of the season, though he is ahead of the mid table scramble that sees just 4 points cover 4 places.

Spireitematts holds onto 4th, while BaggieOne climbs two to 5th only a point away, 4eva is only the same margin away in 6th, while just another 2 points back in 7th is Stairs who dropped a couple of places to make way for the higher scorers this week.

Quantum dragged himself off the bottom into 8th after his good week dropping Twerton a spot into 9th who is yet to break double figures in a week yet.

Joker by default drops to the bottom and will have some ground to make up on his return.
