This surprise prompted me to look at their average for last season and noticed it was about 4.3k ,so what was the reason for the unusually big crowd ? Is Fylde a local derby and do they take big away followings ? was there an offer on ?.Like us ,has something happened to give the fans a lift ?.
Anyway I'm confident we will top the 5k mark on Saturday ,or at least I believe they deserve it and maybe Wrexham will revert to type .
AFC Fylde only took 150 fans, so that means there were 5,627 Wrexham fans. Just looked at their ticket prices and they seem very reasonable and sell family tickets. I think the appeal could be the manager Sam Ricketts who played 52 times for Wales and has only been appointed manager in May. His first managerial job in football.
Last night we got more fans against Aldershot than Mansfield did against Newport. Mansfield got 4,423 vs Newport on Saturday. Majority of people in Nottinghamshire follow Notts County or Forest. Also a lot of people think there were more last night at the Aldershot game than been reported, turns out the away fans got given bits of paper with Away written on them because the IT system went down.
