Non-league paper is pretty damned good, but there is a huge error this week. Look at the Southern section of the division below us ........ the League Table is all wrong. I reckon they do it on a spreadsheet type basis and re-ordered it and carried across scrambled info' maybe ........ Nice little piece on the Marsh-Browns at Whitehawk - me I'd be for signing Ky and Kwai!
Good news that Morgan Ferrier went from Boreham Wood to Walsall - that will definitely weaken them.
It has to be an embarrassment for Joe Anyon, that MA rates an outfield player a better bet than him in goal.
Like Dancing I think MA picked his squad to win THAT way. I wonder what he'll go for against Aldershot. It sounds as though they rather defended at home to Barnet, so will he try to out-do them at their own game, or will he push on maybe start three forwards like Hines, Fortune and Lee Shaw to give Aldershot a bit too much to think about ........?
Must say it is nice to be thinking what tactics we might be using and how they might work, rather than trying to fit a few disastrous looking players into an imaginative pattern that might not get slaughtered. Even if Aldershot do us 0-1 on Tuesday I still think I'll be looking at what MA is trying to do ...... rather than what's happening to us (as if we were just a punchbag). That's a good thing.
My man Gold Omotayo got on for the last 12 minutes for Bury, scored the winner with a header!
As for Rowley, he needs games, but it is difficult to see where you loan him to and why. He's been playing against men, we don't want to loan him to a Vandy rival, a Division 2 side might take him, but that would make us look silly and they'll probably stick him on the bench anyway. But what would he learn by going lower when he has already played higher? It's game time but to what end? Difficult one.
Personally I was amazed by Wedgbury being on the bench. We don't even seem to have been playing him in his best role, just in front of the back four in friendlies. Or was it just an MA plan to keep him fresh because he knows Talbot can't play two matches close together ........... maybe?
