We have had home friendlies with Rangers on two occasions in the last 3-4 years. The first one was a brilliant occasion, with Rangers fans turning up in numbers and a carnival atmosphere was produced by them and the home fans with plenty of stories of fans mingling before and after over a pint. Then two years later we invited them again, again they turned up in numbers but this time the atmosphere had a different edge and in the ned there was plenty of trouble and a lot of damage caused to the away end at Hillsborough by the Rangers fans. After that game our owner came out and said that would be the last time they were invited to S6!!
Its a shame they have this element to their fans and I would like to think its a minority, but their numpties do travel in numbers along with the proper fans and this type of thing inevitably happens often it would appear.
