watched it on Fox Sports, couldn't understand a word they said..it was all double dutch to me!
Started off slowly and within the first 10minutes Lyon should really have been two goals up, Depay through one on one with the Hamer and both occasions he fluffed it. Yes hamer pulled off a decent block for his first attempt but his second attempt was woeful. After that we grew into the game a bit more and Mounie looked sharp and battled hard up front, unlucky with a decent header from about 12 yards out.
Second half started on the front foot only to be hit on the break when once again another one on one with Hamer which was put wide, moments later one nil to Lyon..again through one on one and no mistake, defence nowhere and Hefele blowing out of his arse trying to get back(he was also the one who played them onside). I hope that's just lack of match practice because boy did he look slow!
worrying that we lost Diakhaby(sp?)who seemed to go down with anyone touching him. looked very quick when given the ball in the right area.
The equaliser came from a corner from Pritchard, ball into the mix and big Phil rising like a salmon while bouncing a defender away and watching a goalkeeper waving at his mum kindly fell in the direction of Kongolo(he's magic you know) who stabbed the ball home.
Then enter big LDP, Town pressed high up the pitch and forced the mistake, ball given to Pritchard who put the perfect ball over to big LDP who had purposely made space for himself to crack a very good volley at goal which was well saved but the rebound fell nicely for big lol to calmly slot home. Then in the last minute big Phil won the ball back in the middle of the pitch and brushed off a couple of challenges to play LDP in but he still had plenty to do with a defender closing in he cracked into the roof of the goal.
Overall a decent work out but still plenty to come and we've yet to see our strongest XI play together in pre season.
Positives
Hamer
Sabiri
Pritchard
Depoitre
Must Improve
Hefele
