Well that successful Quatari bid for World Cup 2022 enlightened millions of footie fans how corrupt FIFA actually is - too many 'noses in the trough' and the consequent, compromised 'footie season alteration' by lotsa FAs was totally avoidable if common sense had prevailed. I can't recall many WC bids by England down the years TBH. Surely that recent one presented by Lord Coe, David Beckham etc was not the only bid since the mid 60s!?
