Seriously though, you need to stay up at all costs!! The competition in the championship is brutal and over the past few years few of the relegated teams have gone straight back up like they used to. Imo, the main reason for this is the complete inability of clubs to keep hold of their better players once they are relegated. It used to be a case of the best players at the club sticking around for at least a season and trying to bounce back, but the last time I think that happened was with Newcastle a few years ago. The lure of the premier league is too strong for most of the foreign players currently plying their trade up there, and they have no desire or inclination to play in the Championship!!

The way the Premier league is going I would imagine you are in with about 12 other teams in simply having the goal of not being relegated with maybe a good cup run or even winning it once in a while. You know its more than likely that you will be in a relegation battle, or at least in danger of one, most seasons, and then maybe once every 4-5 years you have a great year and finish comfortably in the top 10. For me that is the reality for at least half the teams in the division.
