I would be distraught, but I'd enjoy it after a while. The away games would be great, and like you say we should be competing in every single game, and aiming for 3 points.
The only 2 HUGE drawbacks are:
1) We probably lose Sess / Varela / Berahino and maybe more. It's going to cost us 20m to replace those three, to get us to exactly the same spot (squad wise) that we are in now, and ended up getting relegated with.
2) Money. There's a massive gulf in money, and it makes the football world go round unfortunately. Especially now the TV rights have gone up, staying up last year enabled us to buy 10-11 new players, staying up again will mean we (SHOULD!) strengthen again. If we go down we could potentially go stagnant like Blues seem to have become.
I'd probably enjoy the football / atmoshpere / going to new away day places a lot more than I currently do though.
