I think that, to be fair to the FA, they had to investigate the complaint. Racism is such a sensitive and, in my own personal opinion, odious issue that it was inevitable that it would go to an enquiry. I'm very pleased that Rodriguez has been exonerated, although, like others, I'm unhappy about the "not proven" decision. As someone who lives in Scotland, "not proven" is often interpreted as "we think you did it but can't prove it". I'm not sure that, in this case, this is what the FA intended by this, however. I think they genuinely could not find any definite evidence one way or the other. Also disappointing that Bong then took to the media to give the impression that Rodriquez had apologised for the "racist remarks" when he'd clearly done no such thing. Finally, and despite my comments at the start, I do get annoyed when the race card is chucked at every non racial slight or comment because it's a convenient stick to use. If someone is racist they deserve to get punished; if someone calls you a twat, get over it.
