At PSG when Antoine Kombouaré was in charge, Sessegnon was predominantly used as a right winger in a 4-4-2 which became a 4-2-2-2 when they had possession. When Kombouaré changed to a 4-2-3-1 after the signing of Pastore at the start of the 2010/2011 season, Sessegnon was then either continued out wide or used centrally but he didn't start much. He became the impact player off the bench. I also think Sunderland used him on the right side of midfield at times as well.
We could use Sessegnon in a wide role on the right side with Varela on the left side and then James Morrison in the hole behind one of the strikers. It would be a similar sort of set-up to that of Clarke's early days when it was Odemwingie on the right, Gera on the left and Morrison in the hole.

The above could be a good team to play. We would have the pace and creativity out wide with the hard-working and intelligent Morrison in the attacking midfield position. Morrison will give the lone striker plenty of support like he did with Long and Lukaku, will control the tempo of the game and will give our 5 man midfield an even balance between attack and defence.
Sessegnon and Varela out wide will then have the pace and creativity to hurt the opposition and with Berahino or Ideye leading the line, we will have a striker who will score goals and will make intelligent runs in the channels which will pull the opposition defenders out of position.
