Jens Keller is still my first choice but I think the club will look for a Championship experienced Head Coach with Championship experienced players. Someone like Nigel Pearson for example.
With regards to the long term, in my opinion the club needs to put in place a proper long term plan. Short-term season to season planning has played a big part in where we are now. A 3 or 4 season plan is required; Rebuild the playing staff through our scouting network, play attractive football, gain promotion in 2 seasons and then stay up in the Premier League. Nigel Pearson is a very good option for all but the final stage and with the club probably wanting to get back to the Premier League as quickly as possible, they will probably have him high on their list.
Back in the Premier League though is where he struggles.
