AND THE FUTURE ............ it's dancing too
#6
I was told there are only two kinds of men : wankers and liars. Mr Carson might have got the double up!

Yes Matt, I suppose it is two divisions, I meant and should've said there is only a division between them and the Conference (One North or South). That's a smaller step than between the Premiership and Division Two and U-21 Premier sides in the Checkatrade, even when benefitting from over-age players, mostly struggle against weakened versions of Division Two outfits. Our oldest player was 19 wasn't he, bridging the gap at Buxton? It has to show they aren't that far off the level we need them to reach.

Though I said I'd never go back to Bob's I did sneak a look to see what they were saying about this win and only one poster seemed to have got that it is a real achievement. I think they dismiss Buxton as rubbish, but they have to be a decent team. I played against players of that standard and they were bloody good footballers, maybe not top pro's and maybe they all lacked an odd little something, but they all had several aspects of their game which were very strong and they'd all learnt not to be muscled out of a game. Maybe Bob's need to try playing against Buxton to see how good you have to be even to live at that level.

I'm well impressed with the result.

Oh and two points about the demo' - I'm sure in an age of mobile phones Mr Carson will see it and hear about it, wherever he chooses to be in the world. (You can't just wait till you think he'll be there, cos he'll permanently disappoint you.) And stay away campaigns work perfectly IN THEORY. In practice, fans love their club and some still turn up. How long have some Blackpool fans been not-a-penny-moreing? It is the only legal action taken against the Oystons that is illuminating the end of that particular tunnel.

Somebody/ies bear/s responsibility for the disappearance of Chesterfield down the drain. And it isn't the fans. I'd support all and almost any kinds of protest, before, during and after. If the Animal Liberation Front were giving tactical advice they'd be re-locating the protest to Apperknowle ..........

Oh and I don't think we could play all the youth team on Saturday, because they'd lose fairly easily and probably disappoint themselves. I'd be happy to see two of them on the bench for Saturday, but it won't happen unless even more first-teamers injure themselves before ko. We'll win on Saturday anyway.
