Prediction League Tables Week 24
#1

Well what a week it has been.
Where do we start , 7 points adrift at the foot of the premiership?
The sacking of our Chairman ?
A striker being brought to a FA charge of racial abuse ?
Knocked out of the FA Cup ?
What can top that ... oh yes,
The Taxigate 4 in Barcelona ... which leads me onto this weeks prediction league where the Taxigate four become six as I add another two and if you have already seen the results you know the other two who will be joining, Evans,Barry & co in the Taxi.
At the fear of me saying I'm going to copy & paste my write up about Zinman and how he always get's out of trouble with his balls as Britney Spears would say ...
Ooops he did it again a gamball & bonus ball equaling 16 points helped Zinman to the top again with erm 13 points, i cant believe to tell you how annoying this is becoming to write up about, I'm just glad I'm not in the Prem like Abion ( Well soon enough anyway) In second a improving Twerton had a good week with 10 points and Third was Amelia whose scores are slowly but surely on the increase, Amelia scored 8 points,
Matt had a SOS save our Sunday, all three scores on Sunday ended in Draws, Matt scored a total of four points and after predicting all of those draws on Sunday moved form -4 to plus 4 in the blink of 270 minutes, Matt finished fourth,
In 5th place and just scrambling a positive score was Sanjay with just a single point and all the rest of you lot failed to trouble the scorers as they say ...
DD's slump in form is continuing at a mighty rate, but the hit was minimal as DD came in 6th with -1,
St Charles has his Bonus Ball to thank for not scoring worse than the -2 he ended up with and 7th place, bet he doesn't say thank god for Man Utd every week !!
In 8th and 9th place respectively was BBB & Derby, BBB being saved by two correct Scores,
And so I move on too my Uber awards and as a prize I award the next Two players a seat in The Taxi with the not so famous 4,
These two both finished Equal bottom , both also finished with a utterly useless -10,   Laugh  So can WorldClass & the Joker please get ready for the trip of your life, climb into the Taxi and head off with the other 4 to get your Mcdonalds,
And to think The Joker although in a different Division to me bet me £100 Pounds he would finish with more points than me at the end of the season   Rolleyes
I look forward to spending your hard earned cash soon Mr J
Better luck next week   Laugh
Regards
Beefy   Thumb up

As Zinman jetted off to no doubt sunnier climbs he leaves having extended his lead at the top to 17 points, and passed the 100 correct results for the season is this a decisive move in the race for the title as DD consolidates 2nd but does lose ground in the title race that he held for so long.
20 points back in 3rd but unable to make any inroads into the deficit above is St Charles, who holds the slenderest single point lead over Sanjay in 4th who eeked out another 4 points advantage over BBB in 5th. Only 6 points cover these three placings as we're well into the final third of the season.
Amelia climbs a place to 6th and proved the difference between success and failure with the unforgiving Gamball, as she managed a 11 point swing to swap places with Derby who drops to 7th.
Nearly a 30 point gap then to Worldclass who suffered a mare of a week and consequently can't be certain that he won't get dragged into the relegation scrap ass some of those below him start to pick up points.
No-one more so than Twerton who climbed a 2 massive places into 9th and out of the relegation zone for the time being at least although Matt is only 2 points away in 10th and suffered the polar opposite of Amelia and her correct result Gamball. Matt has only to 8 point Gamball weeks from 20 and not a sniff of a 16 pointer.
Joker is doing a very good impression of our Baggies as he sits bottom and adrift 15 points from safety

A bit of a car crash for most of the Championship this week.  The various balls were key to a decent score or as more prevalent, a poor one!!  For all his bluster and false dawns of a promotion push Beefy performed admirably this week with easily the highest score of +19 but that could have been a lot higher if he hadn’t got todays results all incorrect, but I am sure he will take it due to everyone else struggling.  Vicar came in 2nd, managing the only other positive score that was achieved by not using the Gamball and saving himself 3 points as a consequence and Bomber stood still with a zero score in the end even though he got his Bonus Ball spot on.  Everyone else was into negative territory ranging from 4eva on -1 to Stairs on -10.  The leader Snooty was looking like getting every prediction incorrect but managed to pull out a correct score today and used his Insurance ball on his slightly optimistic 3-0 win for the Terriers to only end on -8, but that means a swing of 27 points between him and Beefy!!  Its also interesting to note that Beefy and Vicar were the only ones using their heads to accurately predict the WBA score with the rest going with the heart for an Albion win.  But it seems the big change as your season progresses is the lack of faith you truly have in Albion winning when you see that 4 of you also used your Insurance Ball on this game!!!
Cheers

Not much to report in the Championship this week as things stay pretty much "as you were"
Whistle  Whistle  Whistle  Whistle  Tongue  Tongue  Tongue  Big Grin

When your lead is as big as Snooty's you can afford a bad week, it's if they continue when the nerves start jangling, but for now the lead is reduced to a mere 30 points.
Out of the pack like a glistening gazelle, springs Beefy Wink to move up a massive 3 places and into 2nd, is this the move that he's been threatening all season, cream rising, cutting through the pacesetters as the marathon now enters its crucial stage. Has he made the break for home, has he got enough in the tank or has he gone off in pursuit too soon - only time will tell. The tactic of predicting either last or very late is proving successful at the moment.
Such is the size of Beefy, 3 predictors had to make way for his meteoric rise, Bomber drops to 3rd, 4eva to 4th, who cannot seem to buy a good week at the moment, so much so that he now actually has 3 points less than he had at the end of week 16 eight weeks ago, though it's still only 12 points that separate those 3 places while it's another 10 back to BaggieOne in 5th.
Salop lost a little ground but comfortably held on to 6th as Stairs was removed from the 100 point club, dropping a point below it in 7th.
Quantum made a little, but not much, ground in 8th and also had his advantage cut slightly by the Vicar in the race to avoid the wooden spoon.
