I disagree with the posters who say we couldn't attract Marco Silva. I don't think we could get him on a long term deal, obviously he's not going to want to manage in the Championship. But we could get him on a short term deal until the summer.

He's not going to get another job before the summer and he can't possibly do his reputation any harm by taking on the job here. If he was to miraculously keep us up, he would enhance his reputation no end. If we were to go down, he could simply write it off as a formality.

For me it's essential we get him in now. We need an injection to beat Huddersfield next week and he would be the perfect appointment with Watford away beckoning. How often do we see sacked managers go and do over their previous employers. Pardew simply can't get the lads up for it, if we keep him, we're effectively resigning to being relegated already.

He already has one relegation on his resume, one that he was able to write off because Hull improved so much, but I can’t see there being any chance he would do that again, especially not with you guys being a bit adrift at the bottom and with Everton maybe coming back in for him in the summer!! He simply doesn’t need to take the risk of being blamed for the slightest thing with another club after the criticism he has recieved after the Watford situation, plus he has been fully paid out so money won’t work either.
