Reason to be Cheerful (in blue)

Oh give Jack a couple of years. We have to give someone time. He'll get us back into Division Two. Let him work with Llera and the boys he's bringing through. Apparently Jack watches their progress. Reports on Sharman suggest he is worth a contract. I think we should look after Rawson and Amantchi. It seems the only worry with Hand is his size as his position seems to be centre back. Charlie seems to be the victim of a bit of a raw deal, in that his career was fast-forwarded then paused, but I'm guessing he just needs time on the men's game to see whether he can come through, or not. And Iffy always sounds potentially useful. Different positions don't sound as though they faze him, he can score a goal, step up to take a penno. Surely we're building some basis for a proper club beneath the chaos on top? I fear time IS running out on us this season. Defeat tonight would be a devastating blow, but how much worse would it have been if we'd brought in a sixty-year-old vastly experienced man to save us and we'd ended up in the same position? With Jack we've got a new dog, prepared to try new tricks. We might have got an old dog who saw the Vanarama as a chance to spend a nice season dozing in front of a fire on the way to his pension.
