What I don't understand (maybe someone could enlighten me) is why he was arrested on the 'SUSPICION' of drink driving.

Thankfully, I have never been breathalised but my understanding from watching reality TV documentaries, the suspect is breathalised on the spot and if positive, arrested and taken to the local nick where a second and more accurate breath test is done. If that proves positive, the person is charged.

So, why the SUSPICION ?  He was either over the limit or he was not.    

Maybe refused to do a test? I'm not sure to be honest

Then he would have been arrested surely.
