Well if last week wasn't a reality check, this one certainly was. Fact is we were never likely to be able to compete with the likes of West Ham and Stoke. We can't really compete with the likes of Brighton and Newcastle. Over a long season like this and playing against seasoned Premier League teams, all we can hope for is to somehow finish just above the bottom three.
The opposition we are facing now are a million times better than the teams we played last season. There aren't any bad teams. We have greatly over achieved in the last couple of years. We are punching way above our weight. What we have to do is learn from where we are going wrong technically. Get stronger, be more physical. Get back to the gegenpressing. Get back our identity. The no limits spirit.
When we do survive, it will be mainly down to good fortune rather than anything else, just like last season.
