This was the time I'll always remember and these the players i'll never forget and the era that being a WBA supporter made me the proudest. RIP Cyrille condolences to all his family and friends they are the people who have really lost a tremendous man and my thoughts go out to.
While I never like the thought of getting old, I am grateful to have been around to see those great players at a time when football came above everything else. While I've had some great days as an Albion fan since, I've never had "great seasons" like we had then, we were on the verge of being the best club in the country.
Man U in the league & cup, Leeds in the cup, Valencia, Forest, Liverpool - we brushed them all aside, Cyrille was and probably always will be part of my memories following the best side we've ever had and will more than likely ever have.
Players come and go from our club now and most of them are just there for the money, with a few exceptions, but Cyrille epitomised those years and those squads, they loved playing for the Albion almost as much as I enjoyed watching them, so while I'd love to be younger I wouldn't swap those fantastic years for anything
