Interview on the news where he was banging on about players being left in an impossible situation in 2012, how he left because he wanted to play international football and he wants to see Rangers back where we belong in the top flight.
Doesn't remotely resemble the 'Rangers are dead' script he and Whittaker delivered at the time they left. I'll reiterate what I've always said on the subject of players leaving at the time - I had no problems with players not wanting to play in the third division, but they knew they could get the club a fee of some sort and would not have been held back. Even if they had no reason to show loyalty there was a dignified way to step aside. Some of them went about things the right way. Others, principally Naismith and Whittaker put on a public show to try to demonstrate that they owed nothing to us. If that's what they wanted, fine, but by the same token we owe nothing to them including respect. For Naismith to backtrack on what he was claiming at the time just goes to show that he didn't give a toss about hurting the club or its fans when he could benefit financially instead, which is all it was ultimately about for him.
I'd have thought as he crawls out of the woodwork after 2 years he could have come up with something a lot more convincing.
