Literally, for the first time since he has arrived, Irvine now has a full compliment of players to choose from.  If results don’t pick up, and he doesn’t change the team around, then it would be time to get concerned.  We made a big deal about having no wingers at the start of the season.  We purchased Blanco and Valera (now fit), so lets see them Im action!  Especially at home!  I cant stand the sight of Chris Brunt starting.  The man is now an average Championship player!  Dorrans can have his days but is NOT a right winger!  The Mulumbu exclusion is also bewildering?  On his day, I think he is our best payer and more often than not puts in a 7/10 performance.

The Newcastle result was worrying but losing 2-0 to Chelsea is no disgrace (although I know the score flattered us).  If we are in a similar position in the league come new year then AI will have done well in my book.

Wasn’t my personal choice for Manager but let’s support him while he is in charge and in my opinion doing a fair job.

Danny I am very calm bud to be honest. Over 40+ years I have seen some rubbish managers at The Albion and IMO AI is one of them. Its not just bewilderment at team selection, its the NO Plan 'B' and no motivation. We have no choice but to support him do we? as I never Boo the team, players or the manager BUT both Everton nor Newcastle were anything to shout about, yet we played like the away team.

Go to Chelsea and try and defend with the odd counter was never going to work. you see it all the time lower teams attacking the big boys and it scares them.......yes you may lose but you will always lose against them by trying to defend for 90 mins. We couldn't even defend a basic corner for the 2nd goal. If not for Foster it could have been 10. Still as you say its no disgrace to lose to them and with 10 men BUT we need an injection of pace and width and a shake up.

AI lovely bloke, plus prob great on the training ground but he's never succeeded as a manager and we are teetering on the brink. We have some more hard games coming up, we need to change the mentality and be on the front foot from the off Thumb up
