It is a concern when unwanted pages and images appear on your screen when all you want to do is watch some footy!

I've just had a look at my Chrome browser, and they have an adblocker you can enable too. You have to open the "customise and control" menu which looks like three dots in the top-right hand corner, scroll down to extensions, and then on the extensions page run a search for "adblocker".

The top-rated one is Adguard AdBlocker, which I've just enabled myself. No idea how good it is or if it'll do the job you want, but no harm in trying.
