Baffling is exactly the word that sprang to my mind too. We've broken up our best central defensive pairing to include a bombscare who's more likely to get sent off than keep a clean sheet. If Foster's not fit enough to start he shouldn't really be on the bench, but even if he can't play there must have been a better option than moving McGregor to right back. And by playing Macleod on the right we limit the impact of both him and Wallace, arguably our two best attacking threats.

Even the bench looks wrong for this now I look at it. One not-fully-fit defender, and then 2 strikers, 2 auxiliary forwards and a winger. What happens if we need to bring on a defensive player in midfield? And it's all well and good to have extra attacking options, but we can only bring 3 of them on. Ally will have no intention of playing at least one of those named except under the most unlikely of circumstances.
