I watched some of the recorded tv highlights of this match on bbc Sportscene and must say the referee, Dom Robertson, played a huge part in handing this result to Rangers 'on a plate'. Anderson very 'hard done by' to be dismissed and indeed IMO Rangers CB, Alves, could well have been red-carded for manhandling and pushing Anderson (I call that retaliation and a red-card offence!) in the first yellow card incident in which the Saint Johnstone captain did SFA and should not have been given a first yellow card anyway!! I recall this same referee giving the most bizarre pk for Schalke (dived about 2 ft from a Lustig tackle!?) and Ross Co last season v Celtic - handed the Staggies an equaliser but Schalke subsequently suspended for two matches! Is Robertson a 'Rangers man'???
