by that reckoning those known for doing something extremely well can be known as a legend, by relation achievement can be attached to skill level, therefore those who achieved the most and best by there efforts should be by extension the biggest legends
the more i think about it the more i think picking just 14 players and having the fans vote is a bit of a daft idea.
legendary status should be just that , legendary, but the point that people have no memory of the players at the club that achieved the most has some merit
but what if this had been done 50 years ago, should the 14 legends be amended every generation to account for turnover of fans ?
rather than just picking 14 why not instead have a Hall of Fame , induct someone every year, have a picture and a little plaque with their club history , that way all the clubs heroes of years gone by, players and staff a like could be recognized and maybe the young uns will learn some club history to boot
