That's a bit different to be fair Wakey, only a fool would say he he wasn't the greatest manager but this was not the criteria for the players, the term used was 'legend' not the 'greatest'.
As for Churchill and Brunel, if I want to know how great Brunel was, I have some tangible monuments to visit to prove his greatness and remind of the fact, in the wider context of history they have achieved notoriety in their fields by contributing to, in Brunels case, great public engineering works that have helped thrust the country forward. Churchill invigorated the country at it's lowest ebb as the German war machine powered through Europe to the shores of the English Channel, where the Yanks bailed us out just in time.
