Dingle Dingle, I used Perfidious Albion for my Fantasy Football team at work, originates from Roman times and means untrustworthy, due to constant conflicts with the indigenous Briton tribes.  Seemed appropriate for the tribal world of football and was also the limit of my tiny imagination

I thought the origins of Perfidious Albion were around the 13th or 14 century then re-established by the French and as you say meaning untrustworthy, but relating to international affairs involving "Albion" (Britain). May be seeing it used again in the future .
