I can't win by posting and arguing on here, thats why I sent you a PM.
But if you insist, then lets clear up one thing, I never said anyone was offended by what you or the others were saying, they simply got bored of it always coming up and derailing threads, just like this one!! I made a genuine decision to find us a home that would provide a stable platform for us to comment on football, and I invited everyone to move here, which most did. I did this in good faith.
The changes that were made to the rules of the site were not done in the best way possible, I admitted that at the outset and it was agreed that only the two swear words were to be banned and nudity was to be discouraged as well. There is truly nothing unreasonable about those restrictions and in fact brings this site in line with virtually all other football forums. I understand the initial reaction to the changes and the way it was done but ultimately the "freedom of speech" we have on here far exceeds most other things in our lives, so I hoped that we could live with the changes and keep the forum going. I and Kev took over the match threads after Maddix no longer wanted to do them and aside from the tits and arses they have not changed at all, are we really that shallow that because the site would prefer to not have nudity we cannot have some fun along the way??
I also acknowledge your right to protest the changes, which you and others have done vociferously since they were made, but why do you constantly have to push me to have to moderate your posts when you know what the rules are?? You have stated that you will push until I ban you, why would you do that?? What will that achieve except cutting off your own nose to spite your face?? I have no wish to ban anyone, I never have but I fail to see why these changes are considered so bad that you want to be banned by flouting the rules?? How long do you think your University or your job would put up with you if every second word out of your mouth was the f or c word and you constantly emailed nude pictures around?? Life is full of boundaries and rules, some fair, others not, the rules on here are no worse than any other forum so once you protested the way it was done and that protest was registered, why can we not recognize the mistakes that were made and move on to what we are here for - discussing football???
As can be seen from the posts above after I announced to you in a PM that I was done with the arguing and done with moderating you, immediately you post images that we have been asked to not post, why?? What does that show about you or I?? There are plenty of places on the internet to get your fix, why do you need to rub it in my face that we have rules here and that I am tasked with upholding them?? Maybe again, it goes back to you trying to deliberately get banned?? So where are we, well you can post what you like, I am not going to moderate anymore, I am tired of spending my time on here moderating your posts, virtually all others can abide by the rules and I can guarantee they are bored with the whole saga, but I am done moderating it. Others may not want to say what they truly think about this directly on the forum, but likewise they also do not want to keep reading about it, that is where I am but I am prepared to say what I think and as moderator I think its my duty!!
