What a fabulous performance, couldnt have dreamed of a result like that, a game possibly bigger than May's play off final, Hudders a club that just keeps giving, thankfully a few less tears to report too.
From 1-11 we were disciplined, strong and crucially took our chances. Palarse werent without chances themselves but either took the wrong option or we cut out a crosss or crowded them out. We certainly grew in confidence and 2 goals in 5 mins put us into dreamland, the 3rd was vital as at 2-1 their below par vocal home support to that point would have revved up 3-4 gears more and made it very nervy i feel.
They had real pace, Williams brought on for Smith did superbly, the keeper solid and one worldy save, across the back organised and our early snapping at challenges, could easily had a booking much sooner, perhaps threw Palace off their stride - they didnt like it up 'em!
The 2800 selll out support was immense and will be needed in darker hours to keep us all motivated and reality checks, but today in warm weather and nothing to lose care free attitude it was excellent way before kick off. Credit to some of the home fans to our right very complimentary applauding us, thumbs up as they left early knew on the day they had been outfought.
Champions League we're on our way - never would I ever believe in jest a jingle ringing out like that.
I particularly want to mention Ince lots of industry and tracking back, fluffed his early chance but bright throughout, Billing excellent, Mooy given plenty of space to demonstrate his skills, Mounie a Iwan type bullet header, should have put us 3 up ealrier with a clear 1 on 1 but was caught, clearly a real box threat who's value will be going northwards weekly at this rate.
Harry Gration getting mobbed outside after will make good viewing Monday evening news.
Overall a superb day, Bolton fans at L Bridge wanting to chat and were suprised we are more suprised than them we made it to the greedy league, how times have changed for them with transfer embargo in force.
Hope others will add to the thread as they arrive back in the grim north later and over the weekend.
