Alec Jackson played on the right wing and I saw him play in my first attendance at the shrine.
To be honest don't remember much about him but he played over 200 games for us and scored over 50 goals. Not a bad strike rate for a winger.
Stan Jones; big tough no nonsense CB whose clearances often went into row Z.
Players whose names began with I are definitely thin on the ground but, my Matthews publication lists just one: a G F Inwood a left winger who joined us from Rushden Town in 1946 and was transferred to Hull City in 1950. Just 12 appearances and one goal.
Hardly a legend then!
