Bury can't really afford its players, nor can Scunny or Mansfield. Chesterfield can't afford its ground. Debt is endemic.
Exeter's away end is about to re-developed from the totally, genuinely abominable. They didn't sack their manager when they were in 92nd place. They made the play-offs but didn't perform at all in the final ...... but they still have the best young players in the division. And they aren't in debt and are owned by a Supporter's Trust.
