I like Fletcher a lot in terms of his professionalism, his leadership and his mature contribution to the growth of the club over the last two years. However, with regard to the most important aspect, namely his contribution as a player, I think his best days are well behind him. I also think that, as long as he is with us, he will always be an automatic selection by Pulis and I don't think his performances justify that. So, I honestly think this frees us up in midfield to inject some creativity and pace.......well, it would if Pulis wasn't responsible for replacing him. Which ageing pedestrian will he sign, do you reckon?
