Very well presented viewpoint, 0762. I agree that our media love a good tragedy as it fills hundreds of hours of airtime/column inches. The Manchester bombing should rightly be the main news story over a number of nights, but not at the expense of other important stories. Even experienced reporters struggle to say the same thing over and over again just to fill in airtime.
And hibeejim21, don't rely too much on polls or experts for accurate information. They usually get it wrong as they have proved in the last few years. All the experts in the world got it wrong when they had us celebrating the New Millennium in 2000, instead of the correct year of 2001. They've not been much better since.
