The best clubs in Europe don't try to associate with these rich? fantastists? who promise to transform you. Involvement with the wrong people returned Leeds to where they were pre-Revie, took Portsmouth into Division 2, to join Plymouth who plotted a similar course, bankrupting small businesses along the way ..........
My only worry is that someone somewhere within the club seems to have treated this as a serious proposition, which seems akin to considering opening a bomb-shaped parcel, labelled bomb and covered in handle with care stickers (come on you Travelling Wilburys).
