I don't think Ron Mihaly got a game for QPR. He was a v.good centre back, very ruthless, very skilled but not quick enough AND was definitely not a workaholic so I don't think he was at QPR long. He signed for Chesterfield, don't think he played, slipped into local football and didn't look bovvvered (at which he excelled; had a very disdainful face). He was also a genuinely dangerous, difficult bowler at cricket. Fast off as short a run up as he could get away with. Wasn't much for running wasn't RON. A councillor! I always liked him. His year's team at the Grammar School had him, Geoff Miller, England cricketer in goal, and Stuart Woolgar who went to West Brom' full of hope, later turned Chesterfield down for Donny, but slipped out of the game. Stuart's younger brother Mick was the real talent in my opinion, very clever, scored goals for fun, became a successful businessman early in life and died tragically young in a terrible hotel fire in India.
Fraid I'm older than Cllr Mihaly, being older than a councillor makes you sound genuinely old somehow.
