I'd like Tommy to make it back and I've felt very angry on young Allinson's behalf. He certainly didn't do badly enough for us to be shuffled behind two enormously ordinary keepers.

I admire Pooch finding positives among the detritus of our end to the season, but I find it hard to forget how ordinary SEB has been for us after the ability he showed earlier in his career. I know he has been injured since then ....... but suddenly to wake up now when his career has hit the undertow seems like pissing in all our pockets. And I've nothing against young Kakay except I can't remember us ever recruiting a player from QPR except Ron Mihaly - and you'll all ask who and I'll tell you he was a Chesterfield boy with attitude. So Kakay won't end up here, he'll be at Wimbledon or Millwall or maybe Stevenage, so who cares if he does well for us?

It seems to me we haven't a single player who on performance grounds you wouldn't question for a contract next season. None of them has stated a case to be retained, but obviously Mr Caldwell is going to have to keep some of them.

Some of our current team are going to be building blocks and others are going to be dead wood. And that's only weeks away. Can you tell the difference?
