Can't beat Swindon, how about Newbury?

Fleetwood have been quick movers in this field and look where they are ...... and take a look at Stevenage, how they are on the up with Matt Godden's goals - who they plucked from Ebbsfleet.

I don't think we'll be in the running for Ricky Miller from Dover, but there are other centre forwards available. Kristian Dennis might not quite have made it for us but he was a good gamble from Danny. Peterborough have sent Lee Angol on loan to Lincoln (1 game, scored 3), if he's going to be free I'd take him. Oliver Hawkins has been around non-league, leads his line, and he'd be available if Dagenham miss out on going up. And I reckon Gozie Ugwu at Woking could do a job in League 2. They are all 25 or under.

A wide man? Ricky Korboa at Carshalton? Apparently they call him the Ryman Neymar. Only 19. Midfield, Fabio Saraiva at Woking would do in League 2, Portuguese, stars most weeks and scores a few too, then there's Corey Whitely at Dagenham, he's 25 so he'd have to seize the day, but he's one of the reasons for their success, and I like the sound of Byron Lawrence who is only 20, failed at Ipswich and Colchester but was once billed as a boy wonder and is showing it for Leiston. Defenders get less publicity so need more research.

Unfortunately to grab the best non-league talent you either have to have money, or be quick off the mark and I've a feeling we've a manager who doesn't want to stay, we're poor and we're traditionally left in the blocks.

If I selected the following team of Chesterfield players (which I did quickly in my head):-

Allinson

El-Fitouri
Maguire
Evatt
Jones

Hird

Gardner
Angel
Nolan

German
Evans

1. Would that be any worse than what we send out now?
2. Which of the loanees is immeasurably better than the players selected?
3. But my team above leaves out Raglan, O'Shea, Morrison, Mitchell, Donohue, Beesley, Simons, Ofoegbu, Ebanks-Blake, Wakefield, Dennis, Parkin, Humphreys ............ several of whom could make a case for inclusion, especially as results no longer matter.

Apologies to any players I forgot off the top of my head. The list leaves me shaking my head that we are shelling out wages for such as Thorsten Stuckmann or the kid from Birmingham who warms the bench.

I didn't think your last post was negative I thought you told it as it is.

That team you have selected probably can't do any worse than someone of the line ups we have played over this season.

Look at this line-up from 2014-2015

Tommy Lee
Dan Jones
Georg Margreitter
Ian Evatt
Tendayi Darikwa
Daniel Johnson
Sam Morsy
Jay O'Shea
Gary Roberts
Jimmy Ryan
Eoin Doyle

Myles Wright
Charlie Raglan
Ollie Banks
Sam Clucas
Rommy Boco
Dan Gardner
Armand Gnandulliet

Now look at the line up we sent out against Walsall the other night.

Stuckmann
Anderson
Evatt
Donohue
Kakay
Martinez
Hird
Grimshaw
Jones
Ebanks-Blake
Dennis

Gardner
Mitchell
Fulton
Faupala
Simons
Humphreys
El-Fitouri

It's hard to believe how quickly the team has changed from 2 seasons ago. If that team from 2014-15 played the team we sent out against Walsall the 2014-15 team would just run away with it.
