There have been some folk on this board who have rigidly stuck to a 'belief' that incompetence is the reasoning behind 'all' ludicrous ref decisions. I partially concur with that view but firmly believe there are some 'bad apples' in the ref community who are not fully impartial in certain matches! A lotta footie fans tend to associate match-fixing with betting scams. I think there are other forms of match-fixing where there is indeed a certain bias applied - full impartiality is not practised to the detriment of an unsuspecting footie club!!! The offending ref generally 'walks away' and nothing more said! The infamous 'Meekings hand ball incident' at Hampden Park (ICT v Celtic, 2015) was a classic example of such a scenario but there are other highly questionable incidents/ref decisions to consider as well.
