A number of them got huge pay increases on the back of the remarkable success last season and this season have simply failed to show up. The crazy thing is what do the fans and owners expect from Leicester?? Last season was the blip of all blips, they are and likely always will be a team who lives in the bottom half of the prem, with the odd season where they flirt with the top 10 and those seasons where they go down. Last season is not the yardstick they should be measuring themselves against!!!!
Thing is though, even if you take away the yardstick of last year they're still doing very, very poorly; worse than a Prem team in their third season should be. 21 points from 25 games with a -19 goal difference? That is serious relegation form. Albion have sacked managers who had us in better positions than that.
The timing is very odd considering they were half-decent at Sevilla last night, but I guess the club know that the clock is ticking in the Premier League, and as you say, last year was a blip. Ranieri ain't Brian Clough; he was just in the right place at the right time when the stars aligned for Leicester.
