One of my work colleagues is a Sunderland season ticket holder. Says they are less than impressed with Billy the Kid's defensive qualities and can't understand why they bought him.

Given they've already scored about four own goals this season and two of them were all-time clangers for the ages, what is this mythical standard of superhuman defending that Sunderland fans expect of Billy Jones?!  I'd have thought the fact that he hasn't yet slammed the ball into the top corner of his own net from thirty-five yards out would make him a candidate for the captain's armband by now!
