Has Foster ever played better in his career? Surely he is in line for England if he keeps this up? Craig Dawson was almost sold for £3m to Burnley 3 years back now he is an ever-present and an accomplished wing- and centre-back. I felt Nyom was something of a carthorse at first but he has recently turned in several MOTM performances. It appears he valued his place in the team above that of playing for Cameroon recently. Macauley is the Duracell bunny of the team continuing to perform long after his peers, Terry and Distin, have put their feet up.
Brunt and Morrison are playing some of their football of their careers and are true club stalwarts. Despite a discernible recent drop in form Fletcher has been a fantastic signing as has his cohort Evans.
Yacob has been a revelation under Pulis but, on the strength of Livermore's performance yesterday has a fight on his hands to get back in the team. I feel sorry for Mclean who, too, is playing very well. You can tell he is busting a gut to get his place back but the competition is as fierce as it has ever been in our time in the PL.
I can't get too exercised about Rondon's lack of goals. He continues to run the hard miles that enable the midfielders to get upfield and as long as someone gets the goals, who cares where they come from?
Chadli is the lone disappointment at the moment having temporarily lost some form. However we have seen what he can do and his day will come.
All in all, great times at the club.
Nice post and sentiments, Alouioun.
The only points I'd take issue with are Chadli - think he's class and is allowed a temporary blip after his injury& op ......and GMac .....HAS been a Duracell Bunny but even those batteries eventually run out!
But agree that, a couple of months after he looked doomed, Mr Manwairing, TP has turned it right round, and now is producing good results AND very watchable football!
