As a celtic fan I'm not sure that's the case
yes Celtic are so far a head of everyone else but we and old co really have been since the 80s, this year celtic have just moved up a gear
The difference now is that we have 4 teams Sevco, Hearts , St Johnstone and Aberdeen who are much a muchness and have all taken points at home from each other and dropped them away.
normally one or 2 of those teams would have taken at least 9 points off 2 of the others and be 12 to 15 points better off

Old co would have taken say 20 points from 27 against those teams and say 3 from the 6 from us
