We were tremendous against Watford, in my opinion, and thoroughly deserved the win. Down my many years of supporting the Baggies, I've seen many of our lovely footballing sides roll over to teams like Watford, who arrived, cherishing their position at the top of the disciplinary bad boys table and determined to enforce themselves upon us. Well, they got enforced upon and, boy, they didn't like it! No longer are we the soft touch and I thought every Albion player fully committed themselves. I had to smile at Yacob, at one point in the midst of three Watford blokes, really revelling in the skirmish and when McClean comes on, you know the fur's going to fly. Glad he's our man or I'd hate him! There were some tremendous performances and I would struggle to pick one Albion man out as the best. We should have been further in front by the time they scored. Shame for old Ben, making that wonder save from GMac only for the Hornets to score from the resulting corner. His save hardly changed the course of the game.
The lads deserve better support but, unfortunately, Albion's support has always been fickle. It disappoints and saddens me. Oh, for the support they get at the Custard Bowl considering what they have to put up with. We'd be looking at 12-13,000 with Dingles' record or, if the Wolves had what we have, they'd be looking for extra capacity!
