I think people saying that 17 million people are all racist or they didn't know what they were voting for insults their intelligence. I reckon the majority knew what they were voting for.
I voted remain purely on economic reasons but we have to accept the result and remain lost that's democracy. A lot of people who are protesting and want the result overturned are protesting against democracy. If remain had won 52% - 48% people would have accepted the result even though there would be a minority still pushing for another referendum. A lot of people my age group don't even know what the EU is or what it stands for all they care about is the foreign holidays and a few people I know believe there is nothing wrong with having a federalised Europe with everyone under 1 flag, 1 currency, 1 anthem. Which I find rather frightening.
