Danny Wilson is a good man. Unfortunately he'd have to be Gandhi +++ to resign, which he must feel like doing. Do we really think a man as competitive as him on the field of play is happy to oversee performances like Saturday's? He'll hate it as much as any of us.
We could dismiss Danny on grounds of incompetence. Any monetary pay out to him would be months, if not years, away if we contested it, and our position might either be sorted, or we'd be out of existence, by then. The real worry is IF we did that then MORGAN the nutter takes charge and that is about as desirable Ian Huntley and Peter Sutcliffe as a managerial duo ..... IMO.
I still think moving Mr Wilson upstairs to keep all his experience, giving all immediate on-field matters to The Hump to wrestle with, would be a more viable solution. And yes dump Morgan - Pooch highlights Danny's poor record, but the Blades went nowhere with Morgan (under different managers) and neither have we ...... he has no past record of success and as a player he was a thug. What is to like?
Now earlier I suggested we should try to get Keiffer Moore, currently at Torquay, why? He's a big strong player who gives 100%, who is currently proving he doesn't expect huge financial rewards. We have a crippling wage bill. Part of that is SEB. He is failing at Shrewsbury, that leaves him a choice of wringing the last few months of his over-sized pay packet from us and being regarded as almost unemployable afterwards ....... or he could try to save his career. Keiffer Moore is a Forest Green player. Forest Green is owned by the man behind all the South West's alternative power. They are top of the National League, if SEB could resurrect himself there he'd be back in Division 2 at a club that could afford him ......... As far as I can see it is the only hope of getting rid of a player who has become a liability to us, who might actually still have it to succeed elsewhere. And they'd be getting a player who has been a star at the price of a player they clearly don't want.
And before you laugh at me over Keiffer Moore, take a look at the scoring charts in Division 2 and remember when I was saying we should sign Omar Bogle of Solihull Moors (then in National League North) .... and contemplate how we could do with his 16 goals so far for Grimsby.
