Not sure those figures really say anything. You have to remember that the bulk of Americans who voted for Trump are first and foremost Repuiblicans, who will vote for any Republican going against any Democrat. In Germany and the UK there is no attachment to the party he represented. Its really no different in the UK either, those comitted to a political party whether it be Labour, Conservative SNP etc will invariably vote for that party no matter who they put up.

Maybe they have the same ideology, but I'm not convinced they are that close there either. To me Farage is a career fascist, in the 1970s he would have been a skinhead in the National Front!!! Trump is more of an opportunist who knew what to say to invigorate an electorate, something Farage also did with Brexit but not to the same degre as Trump has. Also the one key difference is one believes he has some power whereas now after this week the other one actually does have all the power. I would even go as far to say that even though I do not like Trump, I would take him over Farage any day!!!
