Do you honestly think the result would mean anything other than a Tory government? May may or may not be everybody's choice but at least she is making the right noises and getting on with it. I wanted to stay in for many reasons both personal and business. Am just back from a sabbatical in Spain where life is as it should be, relaxing, laid back, time to enjoy, traditional family values. Unfortunately us Brits don't do the enjoying life bit. We would rather whinge and moan and get ourselves wound up continually over bog all.
Whilst I was out there their was a big vote in the Spanish parliament. What was surprising was the reaction of the locals. The majority seemed to be of the opinion it mattered bog all because if Mr Trump wins his little spat with the rest of USA we all wont be here much longer. They probably have the right attitude. Article 30 or Chapter 21 what does it matter. Unless you can afford a Virgin flight to outer space we will probably all get the fall out sooner or later.
Incidentally, business has picked up again to the level it was before the vote. We had a hairy 3 or 4 months of it but there still isn't the longer term confidence around. Am now taking the Spanish attitude - live life for today, non of us may be here tomorrow, plenty of cheap Spanish booze will make it all that much sweeter.
I reckon there will be an election and what would change? Well the tories would more than likely win and probably get a bigger majority. That's the problem Dancing everybody is making the right noises and they all seem to be contradicting one another because at the end of the day no one had a plan beforehand if the result was leave as they were so cocksure we were going to remain. No one really knows what's going on or what to do its a right Fred Karno's.
Cameron didn't have a plan and neither did Boris and co because they didn't expect it either. We've not left the EU yet and we may not still but the whole country is left in a limbo and that's particular bad for businesses, the FTSE and the £.
Exactly Dancing that's the attitude Carpe Diem because at the end of the day it's out of the British public's hands now as we voted and we have to hope those at the top to try and get the best deal for the WHOLE of the UK even if you disagree or dislike this Government.
