Just back from tonight's AGM and six words come to mind after listening to various presentations covering Hibs 1st team progress, player recruitment, youth development and the organised structure of Hibs FC as a pro Scottish footie club - we are in very good hands!
The main orchestrator of this impressive set up? None other than Leeann Dempster with Hibs head of football, George Craig, not far behind and Neil Lennon enthusiastically 'buying into' a collective football philosophy with all participants playing a vital part in making it effective. This meeting opened with a display of the SFA Scottish Cup, draped in green ribbons, placed alongside the SWFA Scottish Cup - the first time in Scottish footie history that both trophies have been simultaneously held by the same footie club!
One of Leeann's end comments re the historical events that followed our Scottish Cup triumph of 21 May was so accurate - 'Amazingly it was like somebody 'flicked a switch' and a huge element of togetherness unfolded amongst our fans and throughout the Hibs community. We never looked back'! I previously called it a 'massive feel good factor' but I 'get the drift' of her comment.
