Yes the flights were affordable in the end but the parade took place today so given the time difference it essentially takes a full day to get there and I just couldn't make it. My daughter did go and I recorded it on tv. An estimated 5m people turned out and they dyed the Chicago River blue as well!!!!!!! The population of Chicagoland is about 10.5m, so nearly half the city turned out, unbelievable turnout!!!!
