Race recap (it's been a few races since I did one of these but the controversy of this race has prompted me to do one)
Both Hamilton and Rosberg cut the first corners, Hamilton after locking up, and Rosberg from a nudge by Vertappen:

The stewards decide to penalise no one, a decision that I initially agreed with but is important in the context of what happened at the end of the race... (and I have to be careful what I say as I know one of the stewards and want to stay on good terms with her)

So, Hamilton and Rosberg get another 1-2 for Mercedes, but in the closing laps things get really spicy in the battle for third. A one-stopping Verstappen is being chased by Vettel who also one-stopped but is on newer tyres after a much longer first stint, and both are being caught by a two-stopping Ricciardo. Vettel gets into the slipstream of Verstappen on the main straight and Verstappen outbrakes himself going into turn 1 and cuts the corner in a similar way to what Hamilton did on the opening lap. Vettel is furious and wants Verstappen to cede the position. The Red Bull team even ask Verstappen to give up the position but he refuses to yield. Ricciardo then makes this attempt to pass Vettel:

Ricciardo accuses Vettel of moving in the braking zone, which the stewards are meant to be cracking down on after Verstappen's bad press for doing late jinks to defend in recent races.
So, Verstappen crosses the line third on track and heads to the podium with Vettel still furious, even telling race director Charlie Whiting to f*** off:

but then news breaks of a 5 second penalty for Verstappen and he is removed form the prepodium room:

Vettel runs to the podium and accepts the trophy. But, 3 hours after the race the stewards decide to give Vettel a 10 second penalty for moving in the braking zone, which promotes Ricciardo to third, Verstappen to fourth, and leaves Vettel in fifth. Ricciardo then has his own little ceremony on the podium (even though nearly everyone has gone home):
