It doesn't matter who is in charge as the working/middle classes will always get f'ucked over by the elite 
it's the way of the world and once you stop stressing about it and chasing the dream that will never happen you will feel a whole lot better and more relaxed. Just spend your money while you have it and let the government take care of your old age
